About the Job
NWIC and Talk Wireless are leaders in communication and connectivity services, providing radio, internet, and technology solutions across the Niagara Region. We are looking for an experienced and creative Marketing Manager who can take ownership of developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that build brand awareness, generate leads, and support sales growth.
Position Overview
The Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the complete marketing function for two brands, NWIC and Talk Wireless. This position blends strategy, execution, and creative problem solving. You will build and lead innovative marketing initiatives that strengthen both brands, support sales objectives, and deliver measurable results. This role is designed for someone who can operate independently. You will be expected to identify opportunities, make informed recommendations, and execute marketing programs without heavy direction. Using past initiatives as a starting point, you will continuously refine and elevate our marketing presence.
Reporting to the CEO and the Manager, Business Strategy, this position will also support shared initiatives across both companies and act as the central coordinator for all marketing activities. At this time, the role is only open to candidates who live within the Niagara Region or can reliably commute to our office. This position is in person and works closely with multiple teams and local businesses so being local is important to day-to-day collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Build and execute integrated marketing strategies for NWIC and Talk Wireless that drive brand visibility, lead generation, and growth
- Develop annual marketing plans with clear KPIs for awareness, acquisition, retention, and engagement
- Maintain and evolve distinct brand identities for each company with consistent messaging across all channels
Campaign Development & Execution
- Plan and run digital marketing initiatives including website management, SEO, SEM, Google Ads, social media, and email campaigns
- Develop targeted marketing programs from concept to execution with minimal oversight
- Analyze campaign performance, interpret results, and adjust strategies based on data
Content, Creative & Collateral
- Create and manage marketing materials such as product sheets, portfolios, pricing sheets, service inserts, and business cards
- Provide clear creative direction, review proofs, and coordinate production with internal teams and external vendors
- Produce communication pieces including eBlasts, press releases, product announcements, and newsletters
Sales Enablement & Customer Engagement
- Partner with sales to develop collateral, promotional offers, and tools that support revenue objectives
- Organize and support client webinars including registration, outbound campaigns, content preparation, and follow up communication
Events & Community Presence
- Plan and manage company participation in trade shows, events, and community sponsorships
- Strengthening brand visibility and presence within the community
Website & Digital Presence
- Ensure website content, pricing, coverage maps, and service information remain current and accurate
- Maintain and optimize the digital footprint for both brands
Reporting & Leadership
- Prepare and lead monthly marketing meetings with leadership, providing insights, updates, and strategic recommendations
- Track and report on campaign performance and identify areas for improvement
Brand Oversight
- Uphold brand standards across marketing channels, customer communications, and internal documents
Other
- Travel may be required
- Candidates must provide a portfolio that showcases past marketing work, such as successful campaigns, website projects, content samples, or any initiatives they directly led that delivered measurable results
Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
- 3 to 5 years of senior level marketing experience
- Strong proficiency with Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and related tools
- Hands-on experience with CRM platforms and marketing automation systems
- Ability to independently identify opportunities, build strategies, and execute without detailed direction
- Strong copywriting, content creation, and brand management skills
- Proven ability to provide detailed creative direction using proper marketing and design terminology
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills when coordinating with vendors, printers, and external partners
- Comfortable working within MS365
Great to Haves:
- Graphic design or video editing ability using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in telecommunications, ISP, or technology-focused industries
- Experience working with community based or rural markets
