Wireless Field Technician

We’re expanding the NWIC team and looking to add a Wireless Field Technician.

Key Responsibilities
- Installation of new wireless internet subscriber radios
- Site surveys and sales qualifying serviceability to new potential customers
- Service calls to assist in customer issues/connection down
- Maintaining a neat and organized service vehicle (service vehicles are kept at NWIC HQ in Vineland)
- Software upgrades to subscriber radios
- Digitally tracking each job as it’s completed
Qualifications Required
- Must be a team player and able to work in a group or individually
- Experience in working at heights
- Technology literate
- Live in the Niagara Region
- Experience in cable terminations
- Available to work Saturdays as required
- Available for on call and emergency work when required
- A valid G license with a good driving abstract
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience in:
- working with wireless frequencies
- point-to-point
- point-to-multipoint or microwave technologies
- Basic networking knowledge
- Experience climbing towers over 100 feet in height
We Provide
- An hourly based job, between $20-$28/hour depending on experience
- Minimum 40 hours per week
- Company vehicle for use during work hours
- Required safety gear
- Bonus incentives are available based on monthly performance targets
